Liability Waiver
ALL riders must have a Liability Waiver signed prior to mounting a horse. Riders under 18 years of age must have their waiver signed by a parent or guardian.
What To Wear
For safety reasons, ALL riders must wear helmets while mounted (provided by True Blue Farm), boots or shoes (no sandals), and long pants.
Arrival Time and Preparation
Riders are asked to arrive at least 15 minutes before their scheduled riding time. In order to get the full “horse experience”, riders are encouraged to learn how to groom and tack up so they can eventually prepare their horses for riding when they come for lessons. Riding instructors start and end classes promptly. If the class gets started late due to a delay on the instructors part, the instructor will make sure the riders still get the full lesson. However, if the rider is late in arriving for their scheduled time, the class will not delay its starting time and there will not be an opportunity to makeup the missed riding time. It is highly recommended that riders allow themselves plenty of time prior to their lesson and after their lesson. This will allow you adequate time to help prepare your horse for your lesson and cleanup your horse after your lesson.
Cancellation Policy
If you are scheduled for a lesson and cancel less than 24 hours in advance, you will still be responsible for the price of the lesson.
ALL cancellations and schedule changes should be done by calling the stable at 941-457-7669.
Weather
If there is a high chance of storms, we will call you to reschedule your lesson. We encourage our riders to help us watch the weather. Except in sudden unexpected storms, the cancellation policy still applies. If you are riding and see lightning, dismount immediately and return to the barn.
Students are encouraged to bring a bottle of water, sunscreen, and treats for your horse. Apples, carrots and peppermints are acceptable.
